Pentagon Tales

Durante la pandemia il settore musicale si è fermato quasi del tutto, lasciando artisti, lavoratori e spazi culturali in una situazione di forte incertezza. In quel momento abbiamo deciso di contattare i musicisti, gli artisti e i partner con cui avevamo lavorato negli anni, durante i lockdown in giro per il mondo. I Pentagon Tales nascono così: come una raccolta di testimonianze dalla scena musicale internazionale, per capire cosa stava succedendo davvero nei diversi paesi, come stavano reagendo le comunità locali e quali conseguenze sociali ed economiche stava producendo la crisi. Un modo per restare in contatto, condividere esperienze e dare voce a chi, in quel periodo, è rimasto ai margini delle priorità politiche.

During the pandemic, the music sector came to an almost complete stop, leaving artists, workers and cultural spaces in a state of uncertainty. At that time, we decided to reach out to the musicians, artists and partners we had worked with over the years, during lockdowns across the world. Pentagon Tales was born as a collection of first-hand accounts from the international music scene, aiming to document what was really happening in different countries, how local communities were reacting, and the social and economic impact of the crisis. A way to stay connected, share experiences, and give space to voices that were largely left out of political priorities.
